I've never done a diet in my life until October of last year. When I knew it was time to do something that worked with my lifestyle (which was mostly sitting around in the evenings on the couch watching reality TV with Kira) I tried HCG and it worked wonders for both of us.
We're now in our third round of the diet. We're having some great success. Yesterday was Kennedy's birthday party so we broke a few rules. We had pizza, some cheese bread, chocolate cake, and to top it all off we had freshly made tortilla chips and some really hot and spicy salsa that we smothered with cream cheese to help alleviate the hotness. We knew it was a splurge, and new we're feeling it. We both gained of course, we were expecting it, but what doesn't feel good is that we work so hard to get this far and then to see us go back where we were a few days ago. It kind of puts a lot in perspective.
We're going to finish out the diet without any 'splurges' and hopefully we can reach our goals.

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives
Since October I have been on and off a diet which I have been very successful at. I've lost 60 pounds and am still losing. It's not an easy thing though because I don't get to divulge in those favorite foods and treats of mine. I hope I can have a good balance between the healthy and the not so healthy after I finish this diet.
As I was doing the second round of my diet (I'm now on my third round) I stumbled upon a show on the Food Network called Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. I told my wife about it and she said I was crazy but I couldn't keep my eyes off of the deliciousness that was on the screen. There was probably a mixture of mouth-watering beef covered with handfuls of melting cheese which later had to be folded back into the bun of the hamburger that caught my attention. I made a vow that when I was finished with the diet (or between rounds) I would try making me a hamburger to those exact standards. Well, truth be told, I began the third round and realized I hadn't tried out the concoction I saw on the program. I was disappointed but at the same time relieved because I had something to look forward to after this round.
Anyway, that show is awesome and I plan to visit some of the places on the show that are here in the great state of UT. Find the list below:
Burger Bar - Roy, Utah
The Blue Plate Diner - SLC, Utah
Moochies Meatballs - SLC, Utah
Lone Star Taqueria - SLC, Utah
Ruth's Diner - SLC, Utah
Pat's BBQ - SLC, Utah
